Learn the art of hat making with Yorkshire Milliner Justine Bradley-Hill.

Justine has over 30 years of design experience and 17 years millinery practice; a highly qualified teacher offering bespoke one-one millinery tuition and master class workshops.  Justine has gained a BSc (Hons) Degree in Textiles as well as the City and Guilds Level 2, Level 3 in Creative Arts specializing in Millinery and HNC in Millinery from Leeds College 

I have been a guest tutor for London Hat Week 17/18/19 and 2020, Parkin Fabrics, Hat Blocks Direct, Artipistolis Spain, The Creative Workshops and Hatwalk Ireland.

Total  cost £1500  initial deposit of £500 and then 5 monthly payments of £200.

This an introduction to millinery to get you started on your journey consists of 12 sessions  over the one year (1 session per month). 

One space remaining starting at students convenience via zoom or in studio.

 Make a Couture Halo Headband in Parasisal Straw with a Foundation Material Learn the couture millinery techniques needed to create a headband in parasisal straw, this season’s must-have when it comes to headwear. How to block and finish your band to a high standard. How to make a pattern so you can be economical with the parasisal. How to line your headband.The most effective way to attach your piece to the head.

Create a beautiful headpiece using silk abaca to a couture standard. This class is not suitable for a complete beginner. Some basic millinery skills are needed. Class covers blocking abaca and trimming with wraps and flowers. Students will be required to prepare a base, full instructions given prior via a video.

Dior Brim Master class


Dior Brim master class, blocking large Dior brims with buntal mats.  Working with my specially designed Dior brim blocks. We also look at ways to position the piece and secure to head. Students are encouraged to bring trim to finish the piece in the class. This class is not suitable for a complete beginner.
